Is there any way to fix the light meter on a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor-S Auto?

Somewher without redress? or camera Nikkormat? It's a really old camera / lens.

If the meter chamber is dysfunctional, or the electronic connection between the lens and body dysfunctional, the repair can be costly. A simple thing to try first would be to change the battery in the body. If this is not solved, try cleaning the contacts lens and body with a Q-tip moistened with alcohol, and then a Q-tip dry.
