Best combination of digital camera and camcorder for under $ 250?

Hello, Can you please recommend a digital compact camera that takes excellent photos and good video quality in full screen for under $ 250? My current digital camera (Sony Powershot G2) takes great pictures, but the quality video is poor and the video size is too small for I still have to carry my old video camera. Also a monster by his standards today. I'd like something compact and does everything. Thanks, Nick
