Best pocket camera, in terms of shutter speed?
I'm in the market for a great pocket camera, but I would something fast shutter speed. General quality of the lens and the zoom range is important too. Anyone with a suggestion?
I have a SD870IS Canon, and is the best camera I've had. In the past I had a Sony DSC-P52, a Fuji A345 and Sony DSC-W7 and W7 are compared only in terms of image quality. It is a 8 MP camera with a 3 "LCD, super slim and image stabilization so I never blurred images, so if you want a shutter speed fast. You can set in manual mode to always use ISO 80 (to reduce noise, also known as grain you see in the pictures). The higher ISO, faster shutter speed, so that equals less blur in other cameras, however, with the image stabilization on the SD870IS, you need not worry about blur unless your shutter speed is ridiculously long (available shutter speeds custom menu cool effects). It also features a wide-angle lens to fit more people in the pictures with the regular point and shoots. The 3.8X zoom is 3.0X better than the normal than most compact cameras have. Almost all the photographs are very beautiful, with stunning colors and focus (because face detection). The exterior camera is also very pretty, and the back is a very stylish black, while the front is silver and has the option of the area around the lens that silver or black (have money). I know that here in Canada who has just fallen in price from $ 399 to $ 350, but I found deals as low as $ 299 so far, and if you American, which will be even smaller. However, in April, there will be a new version available, SD790IS … going to be around the same price. With the new version that broke of wide-angle lens and a 3X zoom is reduced and the design of the back is reminiscent of a Motorola RAZR phone (not like that), though the front is very "classic" and square I like, and gives the camera a slimming effect. It is also 10 MP, but almost nobody needs 10 MP unless you're doing great poster-size images. Personally, I prefer my camera because of the back, and wide angle, but if you like the look RAZR, I'm sure that the new one is just as great. Do not get a Sony Cybershot, new models are really terrible in terms of noise (grain) in the photos, and new menus are very difficult to use and time. In the past, Sony was my favorite camera brand, but not anymore. (My sister bought a Sony Cybershot DSC-W70 and I hate it.) My Fujifilm camera was also terrible, poor quality construction and low quality pictures. I do not know if they have improved, but I will return to them. My mom and best friend, both had Olympus FE-100 cameras, and both hated (I even bought my mom a Canon SD750, which I recommend if you can not afford the SD870IS because Olympus hated so much, and I was having many problems … was difficult to get the stay for more than a few minutes before saying "low battery", Full Charge NiMH rechargables). STAY AWAY from Olympus. Good luck getting your camera, and if you get a Canon, you will not regret!
And PS Do not settle for less, if you're worried about money. You hate yourself if you settle for less because the camera will already be out of date, and will most likely suck (for lack of a better word) … that's what happened with my Fuji A345: (.
