Does anyone know of a company that buys for the broken pieces of the cameras?

I recently broke the Canon IXUS 800 IS digital camera and I quote received for setting up was not worth it. Now I am left with a partially functional camera and it seems a waste to simply throw it away. I've heard talk of people buying iPods broken net and its use for parties and I am curious as to whether there is a similar market for digital cameras.
