Canon Flash?

I'm looking at buying a Canon Speedlite 430EX flash for my Canon Rebel XTi and was wondering …. I have to worry unless some flares compatible with my camera? I thought I once read that Canon lenses with each lens is compatible as long as canon … Is it the same with the flashes?

I use the Canon 430EX on my XTi and it works great. We will work in the entire EOS line. It also will come with me when I moved to the XSi in April. Oops, it's May. Bring in the new camera.
