Canon Power

This model of Canon was the one I searched for a whole month. All I wanted was a point and shoot camera would not be too expensive (something in the range of $ 250 or even below) for my photography needs occasionally. At first I wanted something light and ultra portable, a camera that can slip into your pocket without to realize that you can use when I have my DSLR with me, but I could not help me when I saw this model and decided to buy it.

What specifically attracted me was the massive 10x optical zoom, you can not find in a lot of cameras in this segment and also the image stabilization chip that also not as common in low-end cameras.

After the first few weeks of use, the overall experience is good. To see if a few key points.

In automatic mode shooting with ISO 200, which is obviously not the best option, you have to retouch photos in Photoshop to remove noise. If you own of the chamber, unless you are shooting outside late at night, I advise you to switch to program mode and set it to ISO 80 for best results.

Speaking of dim light, unless you shoot a subject or can even tilt the camera against something steady, like a bar, a wall or a lamppost, you must use the flash, or the photos come out blurry. The concentration can be annoying sometimes slow in low light, and can not afford to wait a couple of seconds if you want to immortalize a scene franc.

The quality of video clips is excellent, much better than other models I tested CyberShot. The only drawback is that you can not use the optical zoom during filming, the digital zoom only going to work.

The 3-inch screen is great. Comes with high resolution and, my favorite, protrudes from the camera, allowing you to better maneuver the camera. In the rotating screen images is also one of my best features, not tilt more the camera 90 degrees to get a portrait. The macro mode works very well, I'd say better than similar models, the depth and quality of detail is simply impressive.

I would advise getting a Canon PowerShot SX110IS for occasional photos. Our models are smaller, lighter and faster better suited. However, if you want great results with a low-end point and shoot gadget, then this is for you!
