With 3 inch lift you have to get a kit transfer case drop?

I'm looking to buy a kit of 3 inches to lift my 97 Jeep Cherokee. I hear you have to get a transfer case-independent reduction kit lift kit, is it true? I just be able to buy the kit Lifting (including spacers and new shocks and add a rear spring) and not having to buy more parts or have to buy the lift kit and then purchase more parties?

Ask the provider of the lift kit, if you need more parts.
