It's a Canon EOS Rebel XSi worth having?

I've heard good and bad on tests with this camera, but I'm still not 100% sure whether I do or not. If I understand it, I will be buying the Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera Kit at the Apple store to make sure I can achieve the objective with the body! Does anyone have any experience with this product you can share?
