Since launching its first model, the Barracuda stun guns have set the standard for what we have come to expect from a tool of self defense. These are, by far the most reliable high-power non-lethal weapons for self-defense in the market today.

The BC-12, 1.2 million volts mini stun guns power, was introduced to the general public in November 2007. With a few revolutionary improvements such as a rechargeable Nichol Metal Hydride (NiMH), it was obvious Barracuda was here to stay. The metal hydride battery Nichol is far superior to that of Nichol cadmium (NiCd) used in most rechargeable stun guns. Unlike Nichol cadmium battery, the metal hydride battery Nichol has no memory, so after only a few charge cycles can be charged to will, without fear of losing the battery longevity. This battery is also the environment and can be found in the new hybrid cars.

The charger is built right in to the AC-12, you do not have to worry about losing it. To charge the unit you simply slide the button at the bottom to expose plug ends and plug it in. The first time I load the drive you want to charge for about 12 to 15 hours and then once every six weeks or so about an hour only to ensure you have the maximum load. This model also features a wrist strap and disable the PIN security when disengaged, turn off the unit. I like much this function.

If for some reason are dominated by trying to use the unit and taken away from you, while the strap around your wrist or hand can not be used against you. A nylon sheath is also included with this model. One thing to remember, if you use the cover be sure to place the unit into the sleeve from the tip Power first, then bend the wrist strap on the top and close the lid. This will not only prevent you from losing the wrist strap, but also will ensure that when the unit is removed from the holster of the belt is readily available and the first thing in hand.

To make the complete product line of Barracuda then released on 1 million volts AC-10. This model was designed for those who prefer the older, bigger style stun gun. The unit is powered by two nine-volt alkaline batteries, Energizer, Eveready and specified alkaline batteries. These batteries will give the maximum charge for maximum power. Batteries are very easy to install, simply slide open the compartment in the bottom of the unit, in addition, and you're ready to go.

The BC-10 also serves as 80db alarm for staff, and both functions can be used together or separately by simply changing the switch on / off. This model has a belt clip built right to drive and comes with a nylon bag as well.
