Moreover, the eye may detect subtle changes in the prosthesis or socket that may require an adjustment.

The artificial eye prosthesis is relatively low maintenance and benefit really limited attention due to the decreased risk of injury or infection. For this reason, an ocular prosthesis is easy to care for and maintain, and even the concept of the elimination of one eye may seem overwhelming at first, it is rarely necessary and the quality of ocular prostheses are designed to eliminate simple insertion and maintenance.
