Home baked cookies are an ideal dessert for family gatherings, birthday parties and functions of their children, but having to make them the same day that has to make a million other things like work full-time work, or cleaning your house, can be a major challenge for a busy mom! Fortunately, many cookie recipes can be considered "make ahead", meaning, make the dough ahead and freeze whole or part, for later use. With cookie dough you've done before and frozen, to spend less time in the kitchen, which is kept clean, and has some delicious homemade cookies to offer its customers (or to send to school) in an instant. Here are some guidelines for freezing cookies make ahead.

Flash Freeze

Yes, there is a method the mass of the freeze on cookie! Simply put your cookie dough in a plastic container and throw it in the freezer work but I do not recommend it. What happens when you are ready to cook, but cookie dough is a solid piece of ice? You will be waiting hours for the huge mass to thaw! There is a better manner, and is called flash freezing. For flash freezing, you will need a baking tray, saran wrap, parchment paper, a tablespoon cookie scoop and a gallon sized, labeled freezer bag.

Once you've collected and mixed their cookie dough, use a tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop the dough into balls and then place them on the cookie sheet close together. A scoop of cookies and you'll save time and produce perfect dumplings for perfectly shaped cookies. His fingers are kept clean, and you will not have to deal with sticky spoonfuls! Once you have filled the tray, covered in saran wrap and place in freezer for two or three hours, until partially frozen.

Stamp Your Freezer Bags

While your cookie dough is freezing, the label of your bag in the freezer. Most of the bags in the freezer has a white area for labeling. If you prefer, you can use freezer tape, available in most grocery stores. With a permanent marker, label your freezer bag with the name of the cookies, the date they were frozen, the cooking time, and any other specific direction from kitchen so you do not have to find the recipe, when ready to cook.

Once your dough is partially frozen and not sticky to the touch, place the dough in the freezer bag and put it back in the freezer. For flash freezing, the pre-formed cookie dough will not stick, and be ready for the oven when you are.

On the day you are ready to cook, take the dough and place dough balls on your lined baking tray parchment. Preheat the oven. The dough must be thawed at least 30 to 45 minutes and then you are ready to bake according to directions on the bag in the freezer.
