Flash Kit

What is a good team of flash photography and how much should I expect to pay?
Making portraits indoors, not a huge space, but perhaps someday. Already have a continuous light set (only 2 lights), but I want the convienence of flash. Should I buy some flash heads and mount in my stands and umbrellas or just buy a whole kit. Using Canon XTi/400D. I'm thinking of this play of light. http://www.backdropsource.com/Productinfo.asp?id=3075&pname=320-watt-flash-light-kit-with-two-umbrellas that will be strong enough?
Please do not be offended, but – if you have not checked a couple of books on the study of lighting, then that would be a good place to start. Another good source of information is shutterbug.com – simply type in the study of lighting and see what happens. By doing this research you learn what the professionals involved are using and then you can make informed decisions. Having a complete stranger tell you what to buy is of doubtful help. The set-up you would swear to be more – or less – than you need.
