Can you recommend a book or guide that tells me how to set my Nikon D50 digital SLR camera for specific scenes?
I'm looking for a book or guide that tells me how to set my Nikon D50 SLR camera for specific scenes. The ideal book would show a photograph and configuration exact (shutter speed, aperture, etc.), the camera used. I read the manual, but is a bit hard to remember the various settings. Also I want to avoid the "automatic" setting, hoping for a better shot. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Unlike P & S cameras there are no settings for specific scenes. The D50 is a fully adjustable camera and the F / stop and shutter speed depends entirely on the effects that are trying to file. You do not have to remember the setting. Just compose the shot and set the camera with light meter fine on the camera, using the opening for establish the depth of field or shutter speed for better "freeze" the action or frame rate means slow shutter speeds. These are the things you learn if you take a couple of classes in photography. You may have noticed is that photographers shooting professional sports games are not continually seeking the notes to see how to fire the next shot. They bring the camera up to your eye and then make the adjustments they need to make and then take the picture.
