The first thing to do when you take a log mirror frame is to make a record average. It is necessary logs cut in half and do one side and the back of record drawings (as explained in the paper record medium). Since I like to use my table saw blade to the slot for the mirror to sit in Set the height of the blades to a thickness of a mirror. Run four logs through the saw table with the flat side against the fence. Now set the miter saw to 45 degrees. Place your middle register with the flat Since the fence. Sure you set the saw to the right of 45 degrees, so that the socket is within the context of when you're wrong on all four pieces together.

If you are making the mirror frame to fit a piece of mirror that you have, you should measure and mark the frieze inside the courthouse. Take a square triangle, put it in your brand and draw a line outwards from the trunk. Make sure you can see the line when you flip the record over what it knows where to cut. Now cut another log to the same length. It is important to measure the second register from inside the closed at 45. Do not measure outside the record! So I cut one end at 45 degrees. Hold the two papers, along with the two parts of 45 degrees of color with each other. When holding color, make sure the floor is colored interior edge dadoed entire length of the records and make a mark inside the second session. Again take its square and triangular mark until it reaches the outside and can see the mark when it flipped and ready to cut. Do the same for the other two sides.

You now have four pieces that must fit together to make a mirror frame. Place two sides of the picture together at a table with the inner frame color each other. Mark all the record of one that stands out. This way you can take this record to the edge Sander and sand to the line. Now put it in again against the same record, and should be a perfect match. I like the brand A, B, C, D to 45 within each record before the sand of them to know where each record is when I need to screw together.

The next step is to make holes in the back pocket of each piece so you can screw together. I like to use this template hole pocket for the records, since it is small and cheap and I stick a screw through it into the back of the trunk. It is difficult to match a record in a means of securing, so a screw 3 / 4 inches and go right through the squad. Look at my pictures below to see the places where to put the holes. Be sure to compensate screw holes in the trunks and shorts. You put a hole in each side of the four pieces.

Once the holes are drilled, you need to glue and clamp two parts for you to put screws in them. I think the miter spring clamps work the best in the records due to his surroundings. Once attached and nuts, bolts longer use as you can without putting through the other side. When tightening the frame together, make sure the interior is colored frieze for the mirror looks good inside. Now, just walk with your tail and your mirror brackets and screws together.

Clean the glue of the front and back of the frame, and the sand with an orbital sander. Put your choice of finish on. Cut a 1 / 8 inch of material into strips of 3-4 cm, while the reply to ensure the glass in instead.
