How to import videos directly from my HDD video camera to Final Cut Express?

I recently received a HDD camcorder and already discovered how to import the footage into iMovie and then import from iMovie to Final Cut Express but I was wondering if there is a way you can put the images directly on the FCE, only I did not waste much time. I'm using a USB port. Any help? Oh and i have Mac is one of those new firewire no longer support.



You need to be using Firewire USB please. USB is too slow. You do not actually need to use FCE iMovie08 you just opened> connect the FireWire cable to your camera DV and capture. Final Cut Express tutorial here http://www.apple.com/finalcutexpress/tutorials/
