Helmet Hero

With nearly every type of high definition technology going crazy, it was only a matter of time until the helmet cameras followed suit. VholdR was the first to reach the goal with the announcement of its new ContourHD HD camera, which was coined in the HD world first cascade. More recently we've heard from GoPro launch in October your HD GoPro Helmet Hero, which calls the first true HD camera helmet! This expression is really very confusing HD leads us to ask the questions, what exactly HD is what you really need it?

From the earliest days of helmet cameras when we were connecting CCTV cameras and recorders recording Gaffer our helmets, we have seen the launch of many new generations of camera helmet. Naturally, each new version has some interesting feature or benefit headed by their predecessors and competitors, and naturally, this particular feature promotion is important to convince buyers that this is now the 'must have' CAM helmet. That is, of course, until the cam hits the market next quarter. Undoubtedly, the high-definition quality that is just the next inevitable step.

The we've seen is that different camera brands like GoPro helmet, Oregon Scientific, VholdR, Drift VIO Innovation and have started to address our main objective, what as extreme sports fans really want in your camera action? New features such a color screens, wireless remote controls, wide-angle lens and innovative media are focusing on and in our view, these features are so important, if not more important, as the video quality that the camera offers. After all, if you can not use your helmet camera easily, quickly and free choice in the toughest situations in sports, then not fit for purpose.

So, back to the point, what is HD? The HD recording quality is captured by the recorder in terms of the video resolution. The answer to whether you really need a HD camera helmet can be answered by another question be: What will I use images from my camera for the helmet? If you have an HD TV then let go! If you go to upload their material to the net or watching a normal TV, get a helmet camera is HD an "extra" then a necessity.

The advice from Action Cameras (http://www.actioncameras.co.uk) is to look at the all round package that you are considering, think about what sports you are going to be using it for and what mounts you are going to be using too.

Submitted by Warrick Kernes, Product Manager at Action Cameras. Action Cameras was founded in January 2006 with the objective of bringing the latest developments in helmet camera technology to Europe so that its customers can record and share their extreme sports experiences.
