Can I cancel a Mack warranty?

I bought a Mack warranty for my PowerBook. 1-year Apple Care expires in few days, and I would cancel Mack warranty and instead buy Apple Care for 2 years. Mack Warranty has not kicked in I had to return twice for PowerBook replace the motherboard. Apple has promised that if it happens again, they simply replace the PowerBook – hence my desire to switch to Apple Care. Is this possible? Any suggestions?
