SRT load your camera with a roll of 35mm film fresh is a simple matter. If you're new to the camera, however, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the process in detail.

Get into the habit of not opening the camera again unless you are absolutely sure that there is no film loaded inside. If opens the back while film is outside the metal tape, the film will be ruined. To check, lift the lever crank rewind. Carefully turn the handle clockwise. If the handle spins freely, no movie loaded in the camera or the film has been rewound inside cartridge security protector.

If the handle does not turn on, no film is loaded into the camera. You have to rewind the film so you can safely open the back. Turn the camera upside down and press the button clutch. You'll find the clutch located within a small triangular hole in the bottom. Press down until it clicks and remains depressed. Back to the camera to the vertical position, then crank clockwise until the handle spins freely film.

Now you can open the back. Hold the rewind button and pull upward in a slow steady movement. As you pull the knob up, you hear a clank and back open. Swing the back completely open. If a cassette is exposed in the camera, pull up the rewind button itself and lift the cassette.

Take a new roll and pull the leader from the cassette inches. Place the cassette on the left side of the camera with plastic nozzle down. Lift the rewind button to allow the tape into place, then press the button to secure the film cassette.

Now take the film leader and drag it through the film of the stage so that it fits in the two sprockets. Insert the narrow part of the leader in the slots of the take-reel.

Once hooked the leader on the reel, the crank lever wind once, noting that the holes in the pinion gears engage properly. If everything looks good, near the back, pressing on the left edge until you hear it click into place.

Now the wind lever shot twice more. To advance the film, you have to press the shutter release each time the lever reaches the end of its movement. At this point, look at the counter of the movie. It should be noted in 1. Do not be greedy. If you try to stretch your film does not advance the film advance the full two pictures, you probably find the first picture is cloudy. So be sure to wind the full two frames.

Although the SRT has a strong film transport, if not participating in the film take up spool properly, it is possible for the film to slide free. If this happens, the film will not advance. In essence, you just take all your presentations in a single frame.

Minolta obviously realized this could be a problem because it contains a "payload" indicator in later models of the SRT series. Do not worry if you own one of the most srts lacking this feature. It is easy to verify if the film is loaded correctly.

Use the same trick described rewind to see if the loaded movie. After closing the back of the crank and wind lever twice, lift the handle of the film and carefully try to rewind the film in a clockwise direction. (Do not press the button clutch) If you can move the crank more than half a turn, the movie probably slipped off. Wind back several times over, open the back and reload the film properly.

If the movie seems to be loaded OK, look at the rewind knob when the film progresses. If the film is moving through the chamber whenever the trigger forward, rewind button to turn counterclockwise.

After all photos taken in the census, should rewind the tape again before opening the back and removing the tape. If you have been paying attention, you already knows how to do this. Press the clutch, then carefully rewind the film using the rewind knob. You will feel the film when pulled Free Spool of assimilation. Rotate the knob a few more times until it turns freely. Now you can open the camera and took the film for processing.
