What type / model of telescope need for astrophotography?
I have a Canon 20D and was wondering what kind of adapter and / or what kind of model or a telescope I would have to take great pictures of the moon and planets.
Almost any telescope can take pictures of the planets – and the moon these objects are bright and the exposure time is measured in fractions of a second — Then individual shots are stacked using the software. The camera works very well for this – but — to take pictures of deep sky objects that DIM – requires a polar-aligned equatorial mount — It's not cheap – and a "fast" something like a telescope F5 or better. We will have to spend at least $ 1400 – $ 1600 for the assembly and much more for the telescope – astro images requires much time and money. (CCD cameras go for $ 1,500 – $ 5,000 or more! Check out this site – Jason spends about U.S. $ 50,000 in equipment – To make your shots! Http://www.galaxyphoto.com/
