How do I connect an old analogue video recorder from the camera to my PC?

I have an old Sony video camera recorder, using Hi8 video tape, the only connection available is a video / audio jacks, I connect the camera to my computer to edit videos of age. How I do this?

If you have a lot of tapes and want the best quality possible, take a look at the range of Canopus ADVC. Not cheap, but highly respected.
