When changing from compound leaf springs to leaf springs of steel is its generally a conversion kit?

My GMC Safari is currently in the shop steel silencer pending further crossbows. The old spintering compounds. It is a separate kit to buy if you have to convert? My brothers friend works in a machine shop said it. God, I hope not! I think it was bulls # Ittingen me. Why would a company selling a leaf spring without a kit to convert them muffler shop quoted me $ 500 parts and labor. Its much safer than they do instead of me, because its framework is to support the vehicle while tearing it apart.

You need different screws or spring shackles, because the steel springs are mounted a little different from its rear end. a crane car will have all the parts needed to make this conversion
