Here is my Acer Aspire 5610 notebook with water damaged screen I fix.First of all remove the battery from the notebook.

Warning: LCD screen can be easily damaged if it is opened. If you do something wrong the screen might be totally unusable and you need to buy a new screen. It is very expensive. Think twice before deciding to open the screen. Continue at your own risk.

In this model the inverter board is attached to the screen with two screws. Remove the two screws, disconnect the display cable and remove the inverter board.

Carefully take off tape and aluminum foil and put it aside. You'll have to restart it in place during assembly screen.

Remove the two screws on both sides of the screen.

Levante screw rubber stamps and remove all screws.

Carefully remove the screen bezel of the LCD cover and remove the bezel.

Remove the two screws on the front and two screws on both sides.

Carefully remove the LCD cover and place on the basis of notebook. Unplug the video cable and the cable from the Board investor.

Carefully place the screen upside down on a flat surface. Carefully take off the film covering the circuit board and remove the two screws plate (upper circles). I was not really sure if I have to remove the screws on the bottom, so I removed just in case. Do not touch the circuit Board with the fingers.

After both screws are removed you should be able to lift the circuit board. Be careful, it is still attached to the screen LCD.

Start unsnapping the metal frame of the screen. There are plenty of insurance on all sides of the screen. You can unlock them with nails or a screwdriver small plane.

After all latches are opened you should be able to separate the screen into three parts: metal frame, LCD and background (not sure about the correct technical name).

If you have lint or dust inside the screen, you can probably find between the LCD and the background. Do not touch the liquid crystal or background with your fingers. I was able to remove dust and lint with a very soft cloth, barely touching the LCD and background surfaces.

After dividing the screen seemed to me that the bottom has a few some kind of optical layers (three transparent sheets) and in my case, that were damaged by water. The water dried up and left stains between these optical layers.

In my case removing dust and lint was not enough and I had to go further.

Carefully separate the LCD with attached circuit board from the bottom.

To remove damaged optical layers is necessary to remove metal locks on both sides of the screen. It's like a little clip that keeps layers in place.

After removing the two clips, I was able to look between the layers. At first I tried to clean the watermarks dry with a soft cloth, but to no avail. The stains were still visible and did not want to leave.

Fortunately I had another similar screen there, had a broken LCD. I decided to borrow the optical layers from the cracked screen and transfer them to my screen. I was not sure if it will work, but I I mentioned earlier, it does not matter if I break the screen. It was just an experiment.

So remove the cracked screen and carefully transferred white background and all layers transparent to my screen.

To prevent water damage, can use the sleeve case target = "_blank" href = "http://www.sunvalleyus.com/Cooling-Laptop-Case/"> http://www.sunvalleyus.com/Cooling-Laptop-Case/

After that meeting my screen back removing dust and lint with a very soft cloth. I encourage my new screen connected to the notebook. Lit and …

That is a miracle, it works!
