What is the difference between a wide angle optical zoom and optical zoom?

Which is better and why?

If you say wide-angle optical zoom which means you get a wider view than normal, probably wider than the human eye normally preceive. Doesn't wide angle see far. If it just says optical zoom so you be able to bring a little farther than normal. How much depends on the camera. Optical zoom is much higher quality than digital zoom. In fact, the digital zoom isn't really a zoom at all. Its more like a crop then expand procedure.
